Anthony Kuo First to File and Qualify for Irvine City Council

Irvine, CA - Today, Commissioner Anthony Kuo officially qualified as a candidate for Irvine City Council and will appear on the November 6th General Election ballot.

Kuo pulled nomination papers on Monday, July 16, 2018, the first available date. He, along with Mayor Donald P. Wagner and Commissioner Carrie O'Malley, returned completed nomination documents to the Irvine City Clerk less than five hours later. Those documents included nomination signatures from duly registered Irvine voters.

"I grew up in Irvine and am honored to serve my neighbors as a commissioner and volunteer, and even more humbled to seek the opportunity of representing them on the City Council," Kuo said. "I'm so encouraged to have been able to quickly garner so much support for my campaign and returning in paperwork in what might be record time."

Following the submission of filing documents, the Irvine City Clerk coordinated efforts with the Orange County Registrar of Voters and notified Kuo today that he had officially qualified and will stand for election in November.
