Kuo and OC Fire Authority Accept State Grant for Wildfire Protection from Senator Min

Orange County, California - Today, Orange County Fire Authority Vice Chair Anthony Kuo joined Chief Brian Fennessy, Board Member Carol Gamble of Rancho Santa Margarita and Board Member Anne Hertz-Mallari in thanking state Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) for securing a state grant.

"Wildfires like the Silverado Fire are very much top of mind for residents of Irvine and Orange County," said Kuo. "Today's announcement gives confidence to our community that we have the infrastructure and resources to prevent and fight fires, especially in wilderness and open spaces," he added.

Senator Min secured $16.95 million from California's state budget this year in support of equipment and a planned Orange County Fire Authority facility in Trabuco Canyon.
