Anthony Kuo Earns the Endorsement of Senator Patricia Bates
IRVINE, CA - Today, Irvine Commissioner Anthony Kuo announced that California State Senator Patricia Bates endorsed his campaign for Irvine City Council.
"Senator Bates has been a phenomenal leader in our state and in Orange County," Kuo said. "I'm grateful for her support as I work hard to solve our traffic challenges, support our schools, and push forward efforts to keep Irvine a special place," he added.
Bates represents South Orange County in the State Senate where she also serves as the Republican Minority Leader. She previously served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the State Assembly, and on the Laguna Niguel City Council where she was a pivotal leader with Irvine in defeating an international airport at the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, now the Orange County Great Park. Senator Bates is a retired Los Angeles County Social Worker.
Anthony Kuo was raised in Irvine and is a product of Irvine's public schools. He has represented Irvine neighborhoods as city Commissioner for nearly eight years, during which time he has led efforts to ensure the responsible and efficient delivery of roads, parks, childcare, and infrastructure. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Children's Fund and Irvine Junior Games.
