Vice Mayor Kuo Files for Re-Election

IRVINE, Ca - Today, Irvine Vice Mayor Anthony Kuo officially filed for re-election to the Irvine City Council.


"I ran for the Irvine City Council four years ago to help safeguard our quality of life, preserve our precious open spaces and parks, provide accountability for taxpayer dollars, and to support Irvine's youth," Kuo said. "I'm ready to continue that work by building on my experiences serving you with my 'from Irvine, for Irvine,' passion," Kuo added.


Having completed paperwork, Kuo received confirmation from the Irvine City Clerk and the Orange County Registrar of Voters that he will appear on the November 8, 2022 ballot.

Irvine Vice Mayor Anthony Kuo is the first member of the Irvine City Council to have grown up in Irvine. First elected in 2018 after nearly eight years as a City Commissioner, he represents the City on the Boards of the Irvine Barclay Theatre and the Orange County Sanitation District. Kuo also represents the City on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Community Land Trust where he is President and the Orange County Fire Authority where he is Vice Chairman. Outside of City Hall, Kuo also serves on the Board of the Irvine Children's Fund and the Advisory Board of Crime Survivors Inc.
