Vice Mayor Kuo Nominates Irvine leaders to the City's Wall of Recognition

Kuo nominated Irvine Police Chief Mike Hamel (ret'd.), South Coast Chinese Cultural Association Executive Director and Irvine Chinese School Principal Yulan Chung, and Hoag Hospital's Chief Hospital Operations Officer Marcy Brown.
"I've often said that Irvine is a tremendous community because of the people serving in churches, non-profit organizations, sports boosters, and other service organizations," Kuo said. He added, "I have loved volunteering throughout Irvine, and commend all the nominees and other community members who have worked to make Irvine a better place."
Mike Hamel served with the Irvine Police Department for 27 years, including the most recent six as the fifth Chief of the Irvine Police Department and Director of Public Safety.
